Parent Conference Night - Oct 25, 2017

Student report cards, attendance print outs and counselors will be available in the MPR after 5:00 p.m.

Teachers will be available in their classrooms from 5:00 p.m. - 7:00 p.m.

Report Cards will not be mailed home. They will be available for pick up beginning October 26, 2017.

HoCo 2017 Activity Contracts Available!

Homecoming Adventure - November 4th, 7:00 PM - 11:00 PM, @AGHS

• All AGHS Students must have a contract for themselves (even if going with another AGHS student).
• Guests outside of AGHS must be added to the AGHS student contract.
• Guest Contracts are due to Administration by October 31st.
Prices:
 October 24 - 26: $8 with ASB, $12 without
 October 27 - 30: $10 with ASB, $15 without
 October 31 - November 2: $12 with ASB, $18 without

Free Flu Shot Clinic - Oct 25 3:30-5:00 PM AGHS - Admin Bldg

FREE FLU CLINICS - Offered in conjunction with the SLO Health Department

For Students / Siblings / Parents/ Staff

The Flu is a contagious respiratory illness caused by influenza viruses. It can cause mild to severe illness, and at times can lead to death. The flu is mainly spread from person to person through coughing and sneezing.

Vaccination against the Flu is the single best way to prevent influenza.

Free Flu vaccine injection is now available. Flu Mist will not be available at any of the three clinics. Children under 18 must be accompanied by their parent or legal guardian. No appointment necessary.

Spanish Speaking Support Groups

In the Workshop Learn about how to manage stress, control anxiety, and recognize the symptoms of depression and how to find resources to have the proper support, especially in these days of uncertainty.
We will present the documentary of how to overcome a journey of conscience, courage and hope.

17-18 Student Parking Permit Requests - Online Application

Beginning August 17, 2017 AGHS will be open to purchase or pick up approved annual parking permits to licensed student drivers. STUDENTS MUST APPLY ONLINE by logging into their school Google account and completing the online application. The application has a 48 hour processing time. After the permit is approved, the student is notified through their school Google email how to purchase their approved permit.

A total of 425 annual permits will be sold on a first come, first serve basis between August 17, 2017 and September 15, 2017. Permits will be sold for $20.00 with an ASB card and $30.00 without an ASB card. Starting September 18, 2017 tickets will be issued for all non-permitted vehicles.

Between September 17, 2017 and September 29, 2017, non-licensed drivers will be able to purchase reserve permits at the prices listed above. Reserve permits are subject to the same requirements as valid permits and will be issued once the driver obtains a valid driver license and proof of vehicle insurance.

Senior College Transcripts

ALL SENIOR TRANSCRIPTS WERE MAILED BY JUNE 21ST TO THE COLLEGE INDICATED ON THE STUDENT'S SENIOR SURVEY, PLEASE ALLOW TIME FOR COLLEGES TO PROCESS. The AGHS Records Office will be closed from 6/29 - 7/9. You may request a transcript at www.aghseagles.org Click on STUDENT SERVICES and select transcript request. Education Verifications must be FAX'd to (805)473-5516. Transcript requests received after June 29th will be processed the week of July 10th.

School Site Council Meeting - Tuesday, September 26, 2017 at 3pm in Room 208.

Each year public schools invite parents to come together with teachers, students, administrators and other staff members at the school to form the School Site Council (SSC). The Council strives to achieve the highest level of academic, social, and emotional excellence for all students. It is the SSC’s purpose to improve student achievement, increase school-wide effectiveness, and over time better prepare students to be productive workers and responsible citizens.

The following is a summary of the SSC’s major goals:
*Annually develop, update and approve the school plan and budget
*Implement the District Parent Involvement Policy
*Evaluate the effectiveness of the school programs and services

The participant on the SSC should be those individuals who are most affected by the operation of their school and should have a major role in the decisions regarding how the school functions.

3. Turn in to Mrs. Palacios-DeVries (email: rocio.palacios@lmusd.org)
4. Work permit can be emailed back or mailed.
5. After June 30, work permits must be turned in to the summer school office (900 wing) for processing.
