High School Seniors and currently enrolled college students who are children of CCGGA Grower Members, including children whose parents or guardians are employees of a member nursery. Note: any major will be accepted in this category.
High School Seniors and currently enrolled college students pursuing an education in Horticulture, one of the Plant Sciences or Environmental Sciences. Future educators in the plant sciences will be considered.
Students pursuing plant production, management or research careers are especially encouraged to apply.
Graduate students are not eligible.

The recipient shall plan on participating in a college or junior college vocal music
program.
Scholarship(s) of $500.00 will be awarded to the winner(s) from one or more of the high
schools from San Luis Obispo County and the Lompoc/Santa Maria area.
All Aviation Programs eligible: Pilot, Aviation Maintenance Technician (A and P license), Aviation Management,

University students who are in their junior or senior year may apply for the $1,500 scholarship. The student’s college or residence needs to be within San Luis Obispo or Santa Barbara Counties. Applicants should have educational and career goals that will have a positive impact on issues of peace, social justice, or the environment. An on-going commitment to one or more of these issues is essential in order for the application to receive consideration. There is no restriction on the field of major study.
Graduating high school seniors from any high school, public or private, within San Luis Obispo County may apply for the $1,000 scholarship. Applicants need to be able to show past and current involvement in issues of peace, social justice or the environment. The award is intended to help in furthering the student’s education in the field of the recipient’s choice.

To qualify for the scholarship, students must:
- Be a Central Coast high school senior or a student enrolled at Alan Hancock Community College or Cal Poly, San Luis Obispo;
- Plan to major or are majoring in viticulture or enology at either Alan Hancock Community College or Cal Poly, San Luis Obispo;
- Complete the application form;
- Attach official high school transcript and/or most current class enrollment and transcript forms:
- OPTIONAL FOR 2023: Attach a copy of your SAT or ACT results if you are applying for Cal Poly, San Luis Obispo;
- Provide a letter of recommendation from an instructor, the school principal or counselor (high school applicants) or college instructor, counselor or administrator (current Cal Poly, San Luis Obispo applicants). The letter should be signed and provide the address, telephone number and position held in the school.
- Submit a 500 word essay (approximately two pages, see application for details).

Obispo County CattleWomen (SLO CCW) Scholarship:
Applicant must
• Be either a graduating senior attending a high school in San Luis Obispo County or a
currently enrolled college student attending a college located in San Luis Obispo County
• Fulfill all entrance/enrollment requirements of an accredited college or university
• Be attending an accredited college or university in Fall 2024
• Be enrolled as a full-time student taking a minimum of 12 units per quarter/semester
• Be pursuing a degree in an agricultural program or related field of study
• Submit a completed SLO CCW Scholarship application
• Ensure that the application is submitted to one of the addresses listed below and
postmarked or time stamped on or before the listed deadline – Midnight April 1, 2024
• Include a printout of your personal school transcripts that list your weighted GPA
Note: High School students must submit transcripts for all four (4) years of high school
study. College students must submit transcripts covering Freshman to current
year. Transcripts do not need to be stamped and sealed
• Include at least one (1) letter of recommendation from a non-family member. The letter
should at a minimum include the following information:
▪ How the recommender knows you
▪ Experiences the recommender has had with you that is related to the cattle
industry and/or agriculture
▪ How the recommender would describe your work ethic, leadership skills, results
on projects you have undertaken that they have knowledge of

The following are the guidelines for applying for one of these scholarships:
- Scholarship applicant must be a high school senior, currently attending a high school in San Luis Obispo County.
- All applicants must have some type of equine experience in their background. This might include, but is not limited to: rodeo, horse shows, 4-H projects, raising horses, care of horses, gymkhana events, or any other involvement with horses.
- Applicant must have an overall GPA of 3.0 while in high school and must be enrolled as a full time student.
- All documents listed below must accompany this application for a person to be considered for one of the scholarships.
- Applicants that are awarded a scholarship will be notified by our club before the end of the 2023/24 school year.
Eligibility Criteria
To be eligible for the Silva Injury Law Community Scholarship, applicants must:
- Be a high school senior attending a school in Stanislaus County, Merced County, Monterey County, or San Luis Obispo County.
- Have a cumulative GPA of 3.0 or higher.
- Demonstrate financial need and a strong commitment to community service and involvement.
- Plan to enroll in an accredited college or university in the United States for the upcoming academic year.
Application Requirements
Applicants are required to submit the following materials:
- A completed application form.
- An official high school transcript.
- A letter of recommendation from a teacher, counselor, or community leader.
- Demonstration of financial need.
- A 500-750 word essay responding to the prompt: “How have you positively impacted your community, and how has that experience influenced your future aspirations?”
This scholarship is designed as a supplemental source of funds to offset educational expenses
for any San Luis Obispo County Resident attending a college, university, or trade tech/technical
School. Candidates who have been active or intend to be active in their community working for
justice in any of the following areas: peace and nonviolence, economic, environmental, social
and civil; are encouraged to apply.

Here are some key details about the scholarship:
- Eligibility: High school seniors who are planning to pursue studies in agriculture, industrial arts, engineering, or public safety are eligible to apply. Preference will be given to students with an articulated interest or history of involvement in the sport of rodeo, in addition to their academic pursuits.
Application Process: To apply for the Rodeo Scholarship, interested candidates must complete the application form available on our website slosheriffsrodeo.com. Along with the application, applicants will need to submit relevant documents such as their transcripts along with 3 letters of recommendation.
Deadline: The deadline for submitting applications is March 31, 2024. Late submissions will not be considered, so please ensure all materials are submitted before the deadline.
Notifications: Notifications will be made April 15th to those awarded, with their recognition of the scholarship being announced at the rodeo on May 11, 2024.
Award Amount: Four $500 scholarships will be awarded to qualified applicants. Recipients may use the scholarship funds to cover tuition, fees, books, or other educational expenses.

Personify high ethics as demonstrated through leadership, community service, overall personnel
integrity, teamwork, and a commitment to agriculture.
Candidates eligible for this scholarship must be attending or have graduated from high schools
located in San Luis Obispo County, or be students attending Cuesta College or Cal Poly San Luis
Obispo. An interview may be required of the applicants being considered for the scholarship.
College applicants must show proof of college enrollment and be a full-time student with no less
than 12 units per term. You must have a minimum cumulative GPA of 2.5. Scholarships will be
funded in part at time of award. The second payment will be awarded to the recipient when
verification of full time (12 units) semester/quarter documentation has been submitted to the
SLOCCA.

The 62nd Annual Fine Arts Awards recognizes excellence in Classical Music, Jazz Music and Visual Arts.
Applicants compete for 1st ($1,500) and 2nd ($1000) and 3rd ($500) place awards in each category.
Each category requires the submission of an online application, followed by digital auditions or submissions.
Musical Competition performances and Visual Artwork will be presented at The Monday Club on March 10, 2024.
