Introduction to Culinary Arts (Period 5)

Course Description

This is a year long course designed to develop the interest in the field of Culinary Arts. It will provide students with comprehensive, hands on introduction to culinary basics. Students will gain skills in recipe preparation, knife skills, production and product identification, kitchen terminology and the use of equipment. Emphasis will be placed in industry standards focusing on speed and accuracy with the practice of food service sanitation and safety.
