One Drop of Love Presentation for Seniors

Click link for permission slip.

On Thursday, October 3rd from 1-2:30 p.m. in the Clark Center, the Lucia Mar Unified School District will be hosting the One Drop of Love performance. According to the One Drop of Love's website, the show "is a multimedia one-woman show exploring the intersections of race, class, and gender in pursuit of truth, justice, and love." Our district is providing this educational enrichment opportunity for the entire AGHS and NHS senior classes, as it is a great supplement to government and economics curriculum. Students must have a permission slip signed by their parent and/or guardian in order to attend. If they do not have a signed slip, they must be in their 5th and 6th period classes.

Please know that we completely understand if your students are unable to miss your class during 5th and 6th period on the day of the performance. However, the Social Studies Department strongly encourages that students attend and receive this powerful message in order to enhance their understanding of intersectionality and how these aforementioned topics play out in our contemporary political dialogue.
