The recipient shall be a graduating FEMALE senior of Arroyo Grande High School for the current year who has completed courses that prepare her for an academic degree and will be pursuing a degree in the field of the Arts, Music, Drama, or Dance. The recipient shall have a minimum grade point average of 2.5.

The recipient shall have participated in the respective high school's vocal music program for a minimum of two years. The recipient shall plan on participating in a college or junior college vocal music program.
Scholarship(s) of $500.00 will be awarded to the winner(s) from one or more of the high schools from San Luis Obispo County and the Lompoc/Santa Maria area.

Miss California Mid-State Fair serves as a role model for young women in our community. The pageant seeks young women ages 18-24 years old who are intelligent, articulate, charming, talented, sincere, and healthy (in mind and body) with warm, outgoing personalities.There is no entry fee. The Pageant Court is defined as Queen, 1st Runner Up (Princess), and 2nd Runner Up (Princess). The Queen and Court will reign for one year from Pageant Day 2025 to Pageant 2026.
Contestants will compete in five categories: Interview, Fair/Pageant Proposal, Talent, Evening Gown, and Final Question. Those selected as Queen or Princess must attend every day of the 2025 Fair, participating in various public events such as introducing performers, meeting dignitaries, and engaging with fairgoers.
Each contestant will receive special gifts, with top winners earning scholarship prizes: the Queen will receive a $2,500 cash award, the 1st Runner-Up Princess will receive $1,000, and the 2nd Runner-Up Princess will be awarded $500. Additional awards include Miss Congeniality ($250), Best in Interview ($100), and Best in Talent ($100).

The California-Hawaii Elks Association (CHEA) Vocational Grant Scholarship is available for any students wishing to pursue a vocational/technical course to receive a certification, or a 2-year schooling leading directly to employment. Any prospective student (male or female), residing within the jurisdiction of the CHEA, who plans to pursue an eligible vocational/technical course may file an application. Persons enrolling in a 4-year course leading to a Bachelor's degree are not eligible. All applicants must be citizens of the United States of America on the date the application is filed. Grants range from $500 to $2000.

The Frosty Memorial Scholarship is based on community volunteerism. The scholarship is open to any high school senior in the South County. To apply, students must submit an essay with their accomplishments of volunteerism, a brief description of their grades, future plans, and anything else they feel the Frosty family should know. Essay must be mailed or dropped off to the Elks Lodge in Oceano.

Senior high school applicants must be direct descendants of a person honorably discharged from the United States Armed Forces. Student must be enrolled at a Santa Maria School District, Lompoc Unified School District, Santa Ynez Valley Union High School District, San Luis Coastal Unified School District, or Lucia Mar School District. See Scholarship Criteria page for descendant status, grade level, GPA, letter of recommendation, essay, and resume application requirements. Students who served in the Marines and attend Cuesta College or Allan Hancock College are eligible to apply. One student from San Luis Obispo County and Santa Barbara County will be selected.

This scholarship is designed as a supplemental source of funds to offset educational expenses for any San Luis Obispo County Resident attending a college, university, or trade tech/technical School. Candidates who have been active or intend to be active in their community working for justice in any of the following areas: peace and nonviolence, economic, environmental, social and civil; are encouraged to apply.
