The San Luis Obispo Branch of the American Society of Civil Engineers (ASCE) is seeking candidates for a $1,000 scholarship to be awarded to a qualified applicant seeking an undergraduate degree in engineering.
 
Application deadline is 5 p.m. Friday, May 2
 

The 19six Legacy Scholarship was established in 2023 to provide financial assistance to California students pursuing educational advancements and careers in Architecture, Architectural/Structural Engineering, or Interior Design.
 
Application deadline is Thursday, May 8th, 2025 by 5 pm.
 
 

JoAnn-Arnold Switzer Scholarship [Agriculture]

The recipient must personify high ethics as demonstrated through leadership, community service, overall personnel integrity, teamwork, and a commitment to agriculture. Candidates eligible for this scholarship must be attending or have graduated from high schools located in San Luis Obispo County, or be students attending Cuesta College or Cal Poly San Luis Obispo. An interview may be required of the applicants being considered for the scholarship. You must have a minimum cumulative GPA of 2.5.

Open to students of Mexican Indigenous background. Students must reside in or have recently resided in Ventura County, Santa Barbara County, or San Luis Obispo County. Open to high school seniors (class of 2025), or current, community college, or university students. This scholarship opportunity is open to students navigating their educational journey “non-traditionally.” Students must be enrolled or planning to enroll in the Fall 2025 semester in college, university, or trade school (part- or full-time). Undocumented, AB540, DACA, and US citizens are eligible.

Central Coast Caucus Foundation/Central Coast Impact Scholarship

 

The California Legislative Central Coast Caucus Foundation (CLCCCF) is pleased to invite California Central Coast students from the following counties to apply for an educational scholarship of $3,000: Santa Cruz, Monterey, San Luis Obispo, Santa Barbara, Ventura. At least one scholarship will be awarded to a student in each County.

Not a lot of students apply for this one! To be eligible, applicants must:

  1. Be a high school senior attending a school in Stanislaus County, Merced County, Monterey County, or San Luis Obispo County.
  2. Have a cumulative GPA of 3.0 or higher.
  3. Demonstrate financial need and a strong commitment to community service and involvement.
  4. Plan to enroll in an accredited college or university in the United States for the upcoming academic year.

The program was established to assist deserving students by offering financial assistance to meet educational expenses. Each member office will get to award up to two scholarships this year. Scholarship criteria:
 
  • Be a full time student (undergraduate or graduate) in good academic standing at an accredited college or university, OR
  • Be a graduating high school senior with written proof of acceptance at an accredited institution of higher learning.
  • Have a minimum grade point average (GPA) of 2.5
  • Submit a completed application along with all required supplementary documents by the application deadline.
