~A Message Regarding September 11th~

Dear Eagle Families,

As we approach September 11th, our school community takes time to pause, reflect, and honor the lives lost, the heroes who responded, and the enduring resilience shown by so many during the tragic events of September 11, 2001. While many of our students were not yet born in 2001, the impact of this day remains an important chapter in our shared history.

We also recognize that anniversaries like this can bring up varied emotions for families, particularly those with connections to military service, first responders, or personal loss. Our counseling and support staff are available for any students who may need extra care or someone to talk to during this time.

Thank you for your continued partnership in fostering a compassionate, safe, and connected school environment.

Warmly,

Brad Grumbles

Principal

~Counselor's Corner~

Schedule Changes: A reminder that we are set for the semester and NO SCHEDULE CHANGES will be made until spring semester in January. If a student is not doing well in a class, counselors are happy to meet with them to problem solve and get back on track.

The Counseling Center is Open! Please see the flyer about our AGHS Counseling Center. One counselor is in the Counseling Center at break and lunch each day! This is a great place to hang out and play games or draw, to ask questions and get answers from a counselor, or to bring your friends and just eat lunch and chill.

Calling all student tutors: Do you want to get paid to tutor other students? Do you want to earn community service hours for volunteer tutoring? AGHS keeps a student tutor list each year and all of the schools in our district have access to the list so you can earn money or community service hours tutoring students in all grade levels. Please scan the QR code on the flyer if you are interested.

9th Grade Guidance Talks! We will be meeting with our 9th graders through English classes starting the week of September 14th. We will be giving our 9th graders tips and advice on how to survive their first year of high school and helping them navigate AGHS and get involved.

Seniors! Can you believe that it is senior year already?? Counselors are getting ready to meet with seniors during the week of September 28th. We will talk about post high school plans, college and college applications, and how to survive senior year. Stay tuned!

Seniors, Save the Date: Our college application night will be WEDNESDAY, OCTOBER 7TH from 6-7:30 in the MPR.

Juniors and PSAT/NMSQT: AGHS is offering the PSAT/NMSQT to our junior students on TUESDAY, OCTOBER 20TH. Please see the flyer for more information. REGISTRATION WILL BE OPEN FROM 9-1-26 THROUGH 9-11-26. Click HERE to complete the form for registration. Click HERE for the AGHS Webstore to pay the $25 fee for the test.
