Calling all Parents/Guardians interested in participating in our School Counseling Program! The American School Counselor Association (ASCA) National Model encourages school counselors to have an advisory council. This group is a key part of our comprehensive school counseling program. It provides valuable feedback and helps us advocate for our students and programs. We're inviting a diverse group of stakeholders, including parents, to join our advisory council for the 2026-2027 school year. The council will meet two times per year to discuss the school counseling program goals, review our results, and make recommendations. Meeting dates are October 24th and May 20th, at 4:30 on the AGHS campus. If you are interested in being part of this advisory council, please complete THIS FORM.
Schedule Changes: A reminder that we are set for the semester and NO SCHEDULE CHANGES will be made until spring semester in January. If a student is not doing well in a class, counselors are happy to meet with them to problem solve and get back on track.
The Counseling Center is Open! Please see the flyer about our AGHS Counseling Center. One counselor is in the Counseling Center at break and lunch each day! This is a great place to hang out and play games or draw, to ask questions and get answers from a counselor, or to bring your friends and just eat lunch and chill.
Calling all student tutors: Do you want to get paid to tutor other students? Do you want to earn community service hours for volunteer tutoring? AGHS keeps a student tutor list each year and all of the schools in our district have access to the list so you can earn money or community service hours tutoring students in all grade levels. Please scan the QR code on the flyer if you are interested.
