Lions Club
Topic: "Should we return to teaching life skills in the High School experience"

Seniors! Counselors will be meeting with seniors this week during English classes. We will talk about post high school plans, college and college applications, and how to survive senior year. Then we will meet with each senior one on one during the week of October 5th to discuss specific plans!
Seniors, Save the Date: Please see the flyer. Our college application night will be WEDNESDAY, OCTOBER 7TH from 6-7:30 in the MPR.
National Merit Scholarship Program Honors: We are pleased to announce that we have two students who have earned recognition for high performance on the Preliminary SAT/National Merit Scholarship Qualifying Test in 2025. Junior students take this test in the fall and the recognition is sent to schools in the following fall. Our two commended students are Caleb Jaynes and Ari Magee, both of whom show exceptional academic promise through their outstanding performance on the test. Please join us in congratulating and honoring these two excellent seniors!

Clubs should know in order to advertise for your club's special events, please turn your announcement into room #205 for posting. Going forward, flyers will be hung in Eagle Hall, on the tri marquee and blue board in the quad, on the Softball Shed wall, outside room #912, and in the admin building window. All other posters will be removed.

Make Sure to Clear your Absences |
Clear Absences by 4pm Tuesday, 10/06/26. Please make sure that the Attendance Office is informed of the reason for any still unverified absences for 09/08/26 - 10/02/26. After that date, we will not be able to make any changes. |

College & Military Visits |
Seniors and Juniors planning a college/military visit should stop by the Attendance Office to pick up an Excused Absence Request form ahead of their visit. If approved, up to two days may be excused. Visits that will last longer than two days would require a Short Term Independent Study Contract to excuse the absence. |
