AGHS Grin & Bare It Improv Time

Get ready for AGHS Improv Team’s next show this Friday, October 24th at 7pm in the MPR. The theme is Adventure Time, titled Improv Time. There will be a costume contest and fun prizes. Tickets are $5, wear a costume and get $2 off admission. Doors open at 6:30pm. Come out and support our creative team members.

Unified Basketball Game

The Fall Unified Basketball Game is on Tuesday, October 21st, during 3rd and 4th periods in the gym! Our Eagles will be taking on Nipomo High School, and we’d love to see the stands packed with cheering fans and positive vibes! If you’re interested in becoming a buddy or helping out, submit this permission slip to Mr. Reid in Room 983 by Friday the 17th.

Clubs should know in order to advertise for your club's special events, please turn your announcement into room #205 for posting. Going forward, flyers will be hung in Eagle Hall, on the tri marquee and blue board in the quad, on the Softball Shed wall, outside room #912, and in the admin building window. All other posters will be removed.

Reminder Eagles, donations of items do not qualify for community service as noted at the bottom of the community service form.

Check those grades! We are at the mid semester mark and it is important to get those grades looking good. We have about 8 weeks of school left in the semester and now is the time to lock in and make sure your grades look exactly how you want them to look. Please remember that your counselor is a great resource for creating a plan to get you back on track if needed!

Reminder that the Counseling Center is open! We are pleased to announce that our AGHS Counseling Center is now open at break and lunch. We are located in room 515. One counselor is in the Counseling Center at break and lunch each day. This is a great place to hang out and play games or draw, to ask questions and get answers from a counselor, or to bring your friends and just eat lunch and chill.

Juniors and Junior Families: We are meeting with our rising seniors again this week to review senior year schedules. Please be sure to take a look at your student’s proposed schedule and complete the google form that was sent out through Parent Square approving your student’s classes.

Seniors and Senior Families: Please remember that the counseling department wants to see all college apps before your student submits and we are here for drop in hours every Monday through Thursday from 2:00-4:00PM for college app help!

Make Sure to Clear your Absences

Clear Absences by 4pm Tuesday, 11/04/25. Please make sure that the Attendance Office is informed of the reason for any still unverified absences for 10/06/25 - 10/31/25. After that date, we will not be able to make any changes.

College & Military Visits

Seniors and Juniors planning a college/military visit should stop by the Attendance Office to pick up an Excused Absence Request form ahead of their visit. If approved, up to two days may be excused. Visits that will last longer than two days would require a Short Term Independent Study Contract to excuse the absence.
