ORDERING 2026 AGHS ADVANCED PLACEMENT EXAMS! 

Please note the 2026 ordering timeline and substantial late fees!

 Registration and Payments Open Sept. 2nd with Late Fees Beginning Nov. 5th.  

Taking The College Board Advanced Placement Exams is an important part of all AP courses.  Arroyo Grande High School strongly encourages its students to take the AP Exams for the AP classes in which they are enrolled. Scoring well on an AP Exam can often earn students college credit for their high school AP class, saving a significant amount in college tuition. 

Students at Arroyo Grande High School will be joining their AP courses online in The College Board system so that they can get feedback on their progress and register for their AP Exams. This will be done with their AP teachers. Students will also be registering and paying for their AP Exams online with Total Registration. The registration and payment process can be completed from any computer with Internet access. No payments will be accepted at the AGHS Business Office!  Students must be registered in both the College Board and Total Registration systems using their personal email. 

This year the AP Exam fee is $112.00 for each AP Exam ordered plus a one-time administration fee of $10.00 per student (not per exam). Students participating in the LMUSD Free/Reduced Lunch Program will purchase regular AP Exams for the discounted price of $79.00.  Mr. Grumbles, our AGHS principal, will verify free/reduced lunch status. Once approved, students will be cleared to continue in the Total Registration system and pay for their exams. Regular online AP Exam registration and payments will begin on Tuesday, September 2nd, 2025 and will end on Tuesday, November 4th, 2025 at 11:59 PM. Late fees will be assessed after this date. In order to register for 2026 AP Exams, AGHS AP students should simply click on the link provided on the AGHS school website or visit www.TotalRegistration.net/AP/050150. Students must answer all of the required questions. Registration is not complete until students have printed the pdf of the confirmation page that is provided at the end. Parents may register their students for AP Exams, but we strongly recommend that parents and students are both present while registering to ensure that the correct AP Exams are ordered. Please order carefully!

Arroyo Grande High School is pleased to offer families the convenience of paying AP Exam fees online at the time of registration. Be sure to have a credit card or debit card available before beginning the registration process. Paying online is a great way to instantly confirm the payment. 

Listed below are the important dates for the 2026 AGHS AP Exam Registration and Payment Process. Please contact AGHS Advanced Placement Coordinator Mr. James Carter, james.carter@lmusd.org, if you have any questions. Be sure to read all emails that are sent to you regarding AP Exams! 

• Tuesday, September 2nd, 2025–AGHS AP Exam Registration and Payments Begin.

• Tuesday, November 4th, 2025– AGHS AP Exam Registration and Payments Ends – After this date, students will incur late fees per AP Exam! Pay attention to deadlines! 

• Wednesday, November 5th, 2025 – Late Registration will incur a $15 late fee per exam!

• Friday, November 7th, 2025 – Deadline to receive full refunds for cancelled exams. 

• Monday, November 10th, 2025 – Late fees will increase to a $60 late fee per exam!

• Thursday, November 13, 2025 – Deadline for AP Exams orders. Exams will be cancelled and not be ordered if students have not paid! 

• Monday, February 2nd, 2026 – Late fees will increase to a $70 late fee per exam! 

• Wednesday, February 4th, 2026 – Deadline to receive partial refunds for cancelled exams.

• Tuesday, March 3rd, 2026 at 6:00PM - AGHS AP Exam Late Registration ends. This is the absolute deadline to order a 2026 AP Exam.
