Clubs should know in order to advertise for your club's special events, please turn your announcement into room #205 for posting. Going forward, flyers will be hung in Eagle Hall, on the tri marquee and blue board in the quad, on the Softball Shed wall, outside room #912, and in the admin building window. All other posters will be removed.

Want or need to see your counselor? Remember that we are here to help support our students in the areas of academic achievement, college and career awareness, and social emotional health. Please make an appointment with your counselor if you need any help in these areas. Also, please come see your counselor in our Counseling Center in room 515 at break or lunch. One counselor is in the Counseling Center each day at break and lunch. This is a great opportunity to check in and get questions answered without having to wait for an appointment!

Welcome to the Nest! Monday, March 16th is our annual Welcome to the Nest event. We will be welcoming our incoming 9th grade families with an evening dedicated to showing off all the AGHS has to offer! We look forward to seeing any current or incoming families! Please see the flyer in the newsletter for more information.

10th Grade Guidance Talks coming up! Counselors will be meeting with our 10th graders on March 24th, 25th, and 26th through English classes. We will discuss important things like graduation status and post high school plans, as well as help students with goal setting and building healthy habits for school and home life.

PSAT 9: We are offering the PSAT 9 to a limited number of 9th grade students on Wednesday, April 22nd. This test gives early feedback on student knowledge in the areas that matter most for college and career readiness.

Please complete THIS FORM by FRIDAY, MARCH 20TH. Please remember that space is limited and the form will be closed once all spots are filled.

The cost to take the test is $25.00. Please call the Student Business Office at 474-3200 or click HERE to pay online.

On Monday, March 30th, we will send test details to all students signed up for the test. The test will take place during the school day on campus at AGHS. Please note that the test is fully digital this year and students will need a fully charged school issued device in order to take the test.

If you have questions about the PSAT 8/9, please contact your student’s counselor. Please note that both CSU and UC campuses are test optional and no longer require the SAT or ACT for admission. PSAT 10: We are offering the PSAT 10 on Wednesday, April 22nd. This test is a practice for the SAT and can measure college readiness.

Make Sure to Clear your Absences

Clear Absences by 4pm Tuesday, 03/24/26. Please make sure that the Attendance Office is informed of the reason for any still unverified absences for 02/23/26 - 03/20/26. After that date, we will not be able to make any changes.

College & Military Visits

Seniors and Juniors planning a college/military visit should stop by the Attendance Office to pick up an Excused Absence Request form ahead of their visit. If approved, up to two days may be excused. Visits that will last longer than two days would require a Short Term Independent Study Contract to excuse the absence.
