~Counselor's Corner~

Want or need to see your counselor? Remember that we are here to help support our students in the areas of academic achievement, college and career awareness, and social emotional health. Please make an appointment with your counselor if you need any help in these areas. Also, please come see your counselor in our Counseling Center in room 515 at break or lunch. One counselor is in the Counseling Center each day at break and lunch. This is a great opportunity to check in and get questions answered without having to wait for an appointment!

10th Grade Guidance Talks this week! Counselors will be meeting with our 10th graders on March 24th, 25th, and 26th through English classes. We will discuss important things like graduation status and post high school plans, as well as help students with goal setting and building healthy habits for school and home life.

11th Grade Guidance Talks coming up! Counselors will be meeting with our 11th graders during the week of April 20th through English classes. We will discuss important things like graduation status and post high school plans, as well as planning for senior year!

Save the Date! College Night at AGHS: We will hold our annual college night on Thursday, April 16th. This event is open to all grade levels, but 11th graders are especially encouraged to attend. We will have representatives from UC Santa Barbara, Cal Poly, Cuesta, and Hancock present to provide information to students and families about their campuses and the application process. Please put the date on your calendar and we hope to see you there!

College & Military Visits

Seniors and Juniors planning a college/military visit should stop by the Attendance Office to pick up an Excused Absence Request form ahead of their visit. If approved, up to two days may be excused.
